Arrow Star Stephen Amell To Lead Suits Spinoff Series Suits: L.A.

The much-hyped Suits spinoff series at NBC has taken off in spectacular style. Titled ‘Suits: L.A.’, the new spinoff series has found its lead actor in Stephen Amell. The hunky ‘Arrow’ star will play primary protagonist Ted Black in the series. Production is scheduled to begin as early as March 2024.

The rest of the cast of Suits: L.A. hasn’t been announced yet. An equally recognizable actor should be announced soon who’ll play the parallel lead to Stephen Amell’s character. The other character is named Stuart Lane. The Suits spinoff is also expected to have an entertaining pair, much like Harvey Specter and Mike Ross in Suits.

For those who don’t know, a Suits spinoff has been on the drawing board since some time at NBC, with no concrete action being taken by the network to see it to fruition. However, post the massive success of Suits on streaming (on Netflix), interest in the spinoff has revived and is being swiftly executed as well.

Stephen Amell will play Ted Black, a charismatic force of nature who puts his own needs above others. A former hot-shot New York prosecutor, he left his former life behind 15 years ago, to start a new law firm in L.A. specializing in criminal and entertainment law, with his old buddy, Stuart Lane. But now “his firm is at a crisis point, and in order to survive, he must embrace a role he held in contempt his entire career”.

The Suits spinoff is produced by Universal Studio Group’s UCP. Aaron Korsch, creator of Suits, has written and executive produced Suits: L.A., while Victoria Mahoney will direct the pilot, and also executive produce. The original stars of Suits, including Gabriel Macht, Patrick J. Adams, Sarah Rafferty, Rick Hoffman, and Gina Torres, are expected to give guest appearances in the Suits spinoff.
