Renowned story-teller and director Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari is all set to make her OTT début on SonyLIV with an original web series titled ‘Faadu’. The announcement was made through social media handles of both SonyLIV and Tiwari.
Announcing the association, ‘Nil Nil Battey Sannata’, ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’ and ‘Panga’ filmmaker wrote on Instagram, “#FAADU it is with @sonylivindia 🙏🏽😀
On the other hand, streaming platform that gained immense popularity after its hit show ‘Scam 1992’ welcomed Tiwari on board and said, “We are super excited to welcome the great story-teller and director, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari to the SonyLIV family!

According to the makers, ‘Faadu’ is a “unique, intense poetic love-story between two different thinking characters.” Talking about the web series Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari further said, “With time the narrative of how we tell our stories has changed and today’s audience is looking forward and accepting new cinematic experience. As a storyteller, I constantly challenge myself to bring new insightful characters that take the audience to moments of introspection. Faadu is one such unconventional character-driven story, which I am eagerly waiting for the world to experience.”
‘Faadu’ will be produced by Studio Next, the same production house that bankrolled the highly acclaimed SonyLIV series ‘Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story’ helmed by Hansal Mehta.
