Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha Shows 4% Occupancy in Movie Theatres

“Special 26,” “Special Ops,” and even “M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story” have established Neeraj Pandey as one of the most credible directors of recent times. However, “Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha” was enough to diminish his credibility.

Firstly, the abysmal marketing—or, to be truthful, almost no marketing—is something that killed the film. Though some audience members came because of the trio of Tabu, Ajay Devgan, and Neeraj Pandey, it was by no means enough to save the film.

Secondly, fans are in a cooling period between “Kalki 2898,” “Bad Newz,” “Deadpool and Wolverine,” and the upcoming movies for August 15. “Ulajh” and “Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha” are trapped between these.

Some sources state that “Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha” didn’t even cross the ₹1 crore mark, which is a pity. Considering the monsoon, the floods, and upcoming big titles, the timing of releasing these films couldn’t possibly be worse.

As a result, 70% of the Monday shows for “Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha” have been canceled, leading to a low 4% occupancy throughout Monday.

Keeping the numbers in mind, it will barely last one more week in theaters and probably won’t even get the chance to benefit from the Independence Day market, as it cannot withstand the competition. OTT may be its only savior.
