Ava is an action thriller which revolves around an elite assassin who has to wrestle with her doubts regarding the morality about the work that she does. Ava is an assassin, but she starts to harbour suspicions about her bosses.
She has an estranged family of sorts but getting married isn’t always the best thing for a killer (for obvious reasons). She tries her best to sustain herself as those who are above her start to get suspicious about her method of working and alliances.
This film promises to be high on action, and the leading lady sure knows how to pack her punches with bullets flying everywhere the trailer of Ava sure makes it an intriguing promise for all those action lovers out there.
There have been other films with the same theme that look to invoke the hidden conscience of the main lead and take them on a transformative journey where they start to take charge of their life and realize the actual repercussions of their actions. Most of these films depend upon how well the fighting sequences are choreographed, and the growth of the character while the movie usually has a pretty formulaic story.
Assassins have always been an intriguing subject, and taking a look into their moral psyche or why they may have chosen this path is even more so. Crafting a sense of reality around people who can seem so ruthless and cold-hearted from the outside is usually the distinguishing factor when it comes to such films and series, but from the outset, it looks like it may be a great watch for hardcore fans of the genre.
Ava is coming to Netflix on 1st December.
