Highly appreciated Tamil film Ayothi is now streaming on Zee5. The movie was doing so well in the theaters that the makers had to push the OTT release date from March 31st to April 7th. But there is still an issue.
We can understand the pressure from makers to push the digital release as it hampers the box office collection, but the film should have been released with subtitles at least.
Unfortunately, the film is not released with subtitles. Needless to say, the film is in Tamil but there are many dialogues in Hindi that the Tamil speaking people may not be able to comprehend. Also, non-Tamil speakers will not understand the film as a whole. Thus, English subtitles are absolutely necessary nonetheless.
On confirmation, Zee5 stated that subtitles on the platform will be available from Monday 10th of April. So, people who were depending on subtitles to watch Ayothi, you’ll have to wait for the weekend to pass.
The film stars M. Sasikumar, Preethi Asrani, Yashpal Sharma, and Pugazh in lead roles. It was released in theaters on the 3rd of March and was widely praised for the content it offers.
It tells the story of a family from Ayodhya who want to visit Rameshwaram in Tamil Nadu. Unfortunately, a series of mishaps breaks them but a local man pledges to fulfill their spiritual journey.
