Baahubali Web Series Launch Date to Be Announced Soon?

The Baahubali universe continues to intrigue viewers, despite two years having passed since the release of the final part. But, we’re also talking about the prequel to the film that will establish the backstory of Sivagami in the form of a web series (Baahubali – Before the Beginning) on Netflix. The suspense surrounding the release date continues.

For the uninitiated, Baahubali – Before the Beginning is an adaptation of author Anand Neelakantan’s The Rise of Sivagami, that will premiere on Netflix. Jointly directed by Deva Katta and Praveen Sattaru, the story chronicles the rise of Sivagami as the Queen of Mahishmati.

Mrunal Thakur essays the role of Sivagami in this series. From what we hear, the shoot of the first season of the series was wrapped earlier this August. The second season is expected to begin shoot later this year/early next year. With the shoot of a season finally having been completed, can we at least expect an announcement from Netflix about the season launch now?
