Bae Suzy Making a Come Back to Netflix?

Are you one of those who just couldn’t have enough of Bae Suzy in the TvN-Netflix drama Start Up (2020)? Well, we might just have her back onscreen soon. Reports suggest that the singer turned actor will make her come-back to TV with Netflix‘s upcoming drama ‘The Girl Downstairs’.

And what makes us even more happier is that the show is said to be directed by Lee Jung-hyo who was behind smash-hits like ‘Crash Landing On You’ and ‘Criminal Minds’.
Bae Suzy‘s agency responded to the casting rumours with a statement to Newsen saying that the singer-actress has in fact received the offer to star in the show and is “reviewing” the offer. Translates Soompi.

The Girl Downstairs (tentative title) is based on the webtoon of the same name by Min Song-ah whose plot revolves around K-pop idol Lee Doo-na who retires and then ends up being house-mates with Lee Won-joon, a college freshie. Lee Doo-na who was the main vocalist of the fictional girl-group band Dream Sweet abruptly ends her singing career and resumes her studies at the Minsong University where she meets Lee Won-joon.

If everything goes well, The Girl Downstairs will Mark Bae Suzy’s first television project since Start Up in 2020. She is also cast in an upcoming series tentatively titled Anna, alongside Jung Eun-chae and Kim Joon-han. It’s been more than two years already and We absolutely can’t wait for Bae Suzy to dazzle our screens and she absolutely fits the character of Lee Doo-na to the T!.
