Magic can happen if Ritwick collaborates with worthy directors for unique stories. His collaboration with Pradipta Bhattacharya for ‘Bakita Byaktigoto’ is one of the most prized ones in recent times.
‘Bakita Byaktigoto’ is a romance or it can be tagged as a mystery drama too. It tells the story of Pramit, a filmmaker and his otherwise boring and uninteresting life. Pramit decides to make a documentary on love. Through research and reiki he gets to know about a mysterious village which is known for making people fall in love when they step inside it. Pramit does not fully believe the story but pursues the journey. He is confronted by questions like what is love and why should one wait for it, throughout the course and soon he finds himself in the position of falling in love.
The performances are good. The direction and unfolding of the story is subtle and masterful. Anindya Sundar Chakraborty has given very suitable music to the film and Pradipta Bhattacharya has created a surreal world with his story.
