If you are looking for an engaging series to start this weekend, you can watch ‘Banshee’. Anthony Starr, who has gained huge popularity with his Homelander role in ‘The Boys’ plays the leading role in the show and he has done a terrific job.
The show has a total of four seasons in total and they do not lag with a slow pace but keep you engaged throughout. ‘Banshee’ is the story of a little Amish town in Pennsylvania named ‘Banshee’ and some mysterious criminal activities are going on there. Lucas Hood, a thief full of artistry and ex hitman, goes to Banshee and takes the identity of the Sheriff who has been recently murdered. Hood keeps his criminal activities on while keeping with the Sheriff’s job but his conscience is haunted by the mistakes of his past and the people he betrayed. Soon he seeks a redemption with a justice of his own, upon the people who start doing ‘bad business’ in the seemingly nice neighborhood of Banshee.
The show is created by Jonathan Tropper and David Schickler. It is one of the most beautiful small-town crime thrillers ever made. Apart from Anthony Starr, there are other actors like Ivana Miličević, Ulrich Thomsen, Frankie Faison, Hoon Lee, Rus Blackwell, Matt Servitto, Demetrius Grosse who have given beautiful performances throughout the 38 episodes. The first season of the show came out in 2013 and the last one in 2016.
