The much-anticipated ‘larger-than-life’ project of Mollywood is rethinking its date of release. It has officially released its trailer on the big screens of the Kerala theatres with the show of Suriya’s Kanguva. What is the intention of this strategy?
‘Barroz- The One Who Guards the Treasure’ is the first directorial venture of Actor Mohanlal who himself is hoped to appear as its titular character. Antony Perumbavoor will produce the movie for Aashirvad Cinemas.
As per the official reports, the previously discussed release date somewhere around December seems to have been postponed now, and the movie’s official trailer has been released today.
As the premise suggests, the movie will mainly focus on the children’s audience ensuring high quality in creative as well as technical potential. Also, the trailer subtly refers to a coincidence with the Children’s Day celebration which makes the assumption strong.
However, this avow might be a disappointment to the mass audience which consists largely of the actor’s fans.
Also, the uncertainty of the release date might be due to the holding of major multiplex screens by ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’, to which the former necessarily requires premium ones.
Based on the novel ‘Barroz: Guardian of Da Gama’s Treasure’ by Jijo Punnose, Santosh Sivan will handle the cinematography and editing will be done by B. Ajithkumar.
Again, the movie will be joined by T.K Rajeev Kumar as its script advisor and Kalavoor Ravikumar as its additional dialogue writer. Stay tuned in Binged for more updates regarding ‘Barroz’.
