Barry finally returns. HBO has released the teaser trailer of the upcoming season of the award-winning show giving fans new footage for the first time since 2019. The second season of the show premiered in March 2019. The third season of the show premiers on April 24 on HBO along with HBO Max.
Barry is a dark comedy series created by Alec Berg and Bill Hader that premiered on HBO on March 25, 2018. Hader also stars in the show Barry Berkman, a hitman from Cleveland who travels to Los Angeles to kill someone but finds himself joining an acting class taught by Gene Cousineau (Henry Winkler), where he meets aspiring actress Sally Reed (Sarah Goldberg) and begins to question his path in life as he deals with his criminal associates such as Monroe Fuches (Stephen Root) and NoHo Hank (Anthony Carrigan).
The teaser recaps moments from the Season 2 finale. The short teaser also reveals glimpses of various returning characters, apart from Barry, such as Noho Hank, Sally Reed and Gene Cousineau. Cousineau is even shown picking up a gun. The voiceover of Bill Hader’s character in the teaser stresses on second chances and forgiveness. The season 3 synopsis teases that this season will be about Barry struggling with his inner self. It will be about him finding out what it was about his own psyche that led him to be a killer in the first place.
The show has received various accolades including 30 Primetime Emmy Award nominations; Hader won Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series twice, while Winkler won Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for his performance in the first season.
Season 3 of the show has been highly anticipated given that season 2 ended with a cliffhanger. The show got delayed due to the covid 19 pandemic. Bill Hader had earlier confirmed that season 4 of the show is already written. Barry Season 1 and 2 are streaming on Disney+Hotstar in India. It has not been confirmed but Season 3 should premiere in India on Disney+Hotstar on April 24 alongside the global premiere on HBO/HBO Max.
