Another book adaptation in the making! This time it’s a Bollywood film with an bunch of exceptionally popular directors and producers.
A new film for the younger generation titled ‘Bas karo Aunty!’ has just been announced. The film is an adaptation of Varun Agarwal’s bestseller book ‘How I Braved Anu Aunty and Co-Founded a Million Dollar Company’. Usually, it’s the cast of a project that’s eye-catching but this time, it is the cast + directors + producers!
All well known Bollywood names are a part of this upcoming film. Directors Nitesh Tiwari (known for Dangal and Chhichhore) and Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari (known for Nil Battey Sannata and Bareilly Ki Barfi) have given the industry some spectacular films. This duo has collaborated with Star Studios, Ronnie Screwvala, and Siddharth Roy Kapur to produce ‘Bas karo Aunty!’
Helmed by debutant filmmaker Abhishek Sinha, this comedy-drama will star Ishwak Singh and Mahima Makwana in lead roles. Other members of the cast are yet to be revealed. Announcing the film, Roy Kapur Films on their official Instagram and Twitter profile wrote, “Society aunties ki nahi, khud ki suno! Excited to announce our next #BasKaroAunty, a joyous story about living your life for society v/s living for happiness.
‘Bas karo Aunty’ is about the story of a budding entrepreneur. This hilarious and fresh story will focus on the life, obstacles, and mindset of today’s youth. The makers say it will capture the zeitgeist and entrepreneurial spirit of young India. This film is going to be a complete entertainer with the perfect amount of laughter!
