Beat Your Mid-Week Blues with These: Nuvvu Thopu Raa, Good Omens, Kailasapuram, Monsoon Date

We’re just a few steps away from the weekend but the digital platforms are already giving us the holiday vibes with their wide range of exciting content. Amazon Prime, Zee5 and Eros Now continue to be consistent while proving their worth with the quantity and quality aspects. From originals to web series to feature films, we tell you what to binge watch through the mid-week.

Life is Beautiful actor Sudhakar Komakula’s latest film Nuvvu Thopu Raa had made to Amazon Prime earlier this week. Also featuring Nitya Shetty, Nirosha, Varun Sandesh in key roles, the film written in typical Telangana dialect has its moments, though it may not qualify as a great outing on the whole. Good Omens is another series to watch out for on Amazon Prime. The TV series follows the demon Crowley and the angel Aziraphale, who seek to prevent the coming of the Antichrist amid a final face-off between Heaven and Hell.

If you are keen on watching something more hardhitting, Zee5’s Kailasapuram might not disappoint you too. Inspired by true incidents of college students falling prey to drugs in Hyderabad, the series offers an important social message to its spectators. After a major gap, Konkana Sen too is making her mark on the digital space with the Eros Now Original titled Monsoon Date, that promises to be a gritty drama about human relationships.
