The trailers for Bejoy Nambiar’s upcoming Hindi – Tamil bilingual film ‘Dange’ – ‘Por’ are out – two different trailers for both versions. The movies release in theatres on 1st March, 2024.
The one thing that stands out in the Dange / Por trailers is the over-the-top stylishness of the sequences as they unfold – a hint of Bejoy Nambiar’s signature style of filmmaking. Harshavardhan Rane looks cool AF as the protagonist of Dange, alongside Ehan Bhat as parallel lead. Likewise do Arjun Das and Kalidas Jayram in Por. Both trailers raise anticipation for the films by notches.
T J Bhanu is the sole common actor in both films. Nikita Dutta and Sanchana Natarajan give her company as parallel female leads in Dange and Por respectively. The trailer begins on a predictable note, but soon the two angsty young college friends come to blows at a college cultural fest. The rivalry escalates, leading to violence and chaos.
The movie has an interesting premise. The script explores the complexities of human nature, highlighting the angst and roughness within the characters portrayed. In the end, the film challenges audiences to “pick a side”, based on the twists of the story.
