By now, many of you ‘Money Heist’ fans will have watched the first part of the fifth season – and we know; it was glorious. Twists and turns right from the get-go, thrills happening every other scene, a cliffhanger at the end of every episode, a couple of unexpected, yet surprisingly brilliant character arcs and that final 5 minutes! December 3rd 2021 can’t come fast enough (which is when the second half of the fifth season will stream). However, throughout all of this “epicness”, something very important happened; something even many diehard fans missed – something that actually appears regularly throughout the show – the web series’ main theme, ” Bella Ciao‘.
In this case, the fact that “Bella Ciao” wasn’t played even once during the entirety of the five episodes. With multiple renditions of this brilliant song having been used to promote the previous seasons of ‘Money Heist‘ (this season included), it is a huge surprise when you think about it. Not even once at all.
It is not like Netflix lost the rights to the song (We would have heard about it). We have had the Spanish revolution song multiple times on the show – with even the main characters taking turns to sing it as well. So, the fact that this song isn’t heard even once, throughout the first half of season 5 means that the series is gearing up for something truly spectacular. Especially if you look at the way how the song has been utilized throughout the TV series. Again, December 3rd can’t get here fast enough.
Still, the fact that many of us haven’t caught on that ‘Money Heist‘ hasn’t dropped this brilliant song and was immensely satisfied with the fifth season, shows the impactful these five episodes were. The series still manages to drop some brilliant music throughout the first half, so we are not complaining either.
The first four seasons and the first half of the fifth season of ‘Money Heist’ are currently streaming on Netflix.
