Actor and comedian Adam Sandler has confirmed that Benny Safdie will appear in ‘Happy Gilmore 2’, a direct sequel to the original 1996 film. IndieWire first broke this news. The sequel is currently in the works at Netflix.

Sandler recently attended the New York City premiere of his new Netflix stand-up special, “Adam Sandler: Love You”, with Josh Safdie, brother of Benny Safdie. The Safdie Brothers are best known for working with Sandler in the critically acclaimed “Uncut Gems”, which gave Sandler’s acting career new wings.
