Berlin was the last major show from Netflix in 2023. The series is a spin-off to La Casa De Papel aka Money Heist. It stars Pedro Alonso as Berlin who was a sensation back then for his character during the run of Money Heist. In fact, his popularity was outsmarting that of the entire show and thus Netflix announced the spin-off just after the final season of Money Heist was completed back in December 2021.
But how did Berlin come out to be? It is an absolutely unbearable show whose writing sucks. It relies less on the plot and more on steamy scenes. It sucks because you want to watch something related to Money Heist and not 365 Days.
Regardless, Berlin was not received as greatly as Money Heist. It is pretty obvious and we are bringing the official numbers of views. Well, it is decent. Actually, it’s more than decent. If you see the chart below then Berlin was the most watched non-English show last week.
Berlin has great views and if you see the number 10 then it has Money Heist on it. So, naturally, Berlin has pulled the views of Money Heist as well. So, it is nothing but the Money Heist effect still operating after many years. Netflix must focus on making better shows rather than merely milking the already blockbuster ones.
