The year 2022 has been an interesting one for the Hindi film industry. It started off with a bang with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s period drama ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ starring Alia Bhatt and Rajkummar Rao’s light-hearted romantic drama ‘Badhaai Do’.
Besides these, 2022 later witnessed the release of Hindi films like ‘Jhund’, ‘The Kashmir Files’, ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’, ‘Darlings’, ‘Drishyam 2’, ‘Vikram Vedha’, and ‘Brahmastra’, to name a few. We are not talking about their box-office performances but how well they were received by the audiences or how well these films were made.
Although all these films have their own fan following, we were still curious to know which one has been the best reviewed Hindi film of the year 2022. So, let’s find out.

So, as per the above reviews analysis, it’s neither ‘Drishyam 2’ nor ‘The Kashmir Files’ nor ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ which has topped the list, but it’s the critically acclaimed yet underappreciated sports drama ‘Kaun Pravin Tambe?’ which has beaten the biggies to become the best reviewed Hindi film of 2022.
In second place on this list is ‘Drishyam 2’. And in third and fourth places are Vivek Agnihotri’s hard-hitting film ‘The Kashmir Files’ and Amitabh Bachchan starrer family adventure drama ‘Uunchai’, respectively.
Having said that, reviews from IMDb and Google are obviously not a sure shot way to ascertain a movie’s quality and its overall entertainment quotient. That’s subjective. Because as you can see, some earnestly made films like ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ and ‘Brahmastra’ don’t deserve these poor user ratings at all.
Nevertheless, Shreyas Talpade’s cricket-based film ‘Kaun Pravin Tambe?’ has its heart in the right place and has managed to strike a chord with myriad viewers worldwide. Full credit to the makers and to the lead actor for that. Well deserved win!

Helmed by Jayprad Desai, the movie narrates the incredible underdog story of Indian cricketer Pravin Tambe, who had made his cricket league debut at the age of 41. Interestingly, he had not even played any international or first-class cricket match before that. Shreyas Talpade, who has previously essayed a cricketer’s role in Nagesh Kukunoor’s ‘Iqbal’, had stepped into the shoes of Pravin Tambe for the film.
