The Malayalam film industry is well known for churning out quality content and the year 2022 was no exception. This year too, we have witnessed some well-made Malayalam films, which were a blend of popular and meaningful cinema. So, as per the above reviews analysis, it’s a tie between the coming-of-age romantic drama ‘Hirdayam’ and the legal thriller ‘Jana Gana Mana’ starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Suraj Venjaramoodu in the lead roles. However, if we consider the number of votes, ‘Hridayam’ has taken the lead to become the best reviewed Malayalam film of 2022.

In third place on this list is the critically acclaimed satire ‘Nna, Thaan Case Kodu’. In fourth and fifth places are the political thriller film ‘Pada’ and the crime thriller flick ‘Oruthee’, respectively.

Having said that, reviews from IMDb and Google are not a sure shot way to ascertain a movie’s quality and its overall entertainment quotient. Because that’s subjective. Nevertheless, ‘Hridayam’ has its heart in the right place and has managed to strike a chord with the audiences.
