Best Selling Sci-Fi Novel Gets Adapted As Apple TV+’s Series!

The concept of the multiverse and parallel realities has been of intrigue for decades albeit its vague and abstract nature. And yet, the idea has been the crux of numerous media pieces like novels, feature films and now, even series.

Based off of the best-selling novel by Blake Crouch, Apple TV+’s new sci-fi thriller series ‘Dark Matter’ revolves around the mind bending theory of alternative realities. Premiering exclusively on the platform on May 8, the show will revolve around brilliant-scientist-turned-teacher Jason Dessen who leads a happy life until one day, he is kidnapped. The catch: his kidnapper is Jason himself.

Starring Joel Edgerton, Jennifer Connelly, and Alice Braga in leading roles, the series will focus on Jason’s struggle to get back to his life and his world as he navigates the devastating consequences of his groundbreaking research: a means to time travel.

Not only is time not on his side, Jason also ends up making enemies along his quest back home. Some enemies are even other Jason’s from parallel realities!

Combating apocalypses, evil schemes, and the oddities of a non-linear timeline, Jason is hellbent on getting his life and family back. Despite his relentless struggle, will he be able to make it back in time? In health? In the right mind?
