Two major releases happened on Netflix India last week. One was an original film titled Bhakshak and the other was Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram.
Guntur Kaaram is far from being a good movie but since it has Mahesh Babu as the leading man, excitement builds inevitably.
Bhakshak on the other hand is an original film by Netflix India which is led by Bhoomi Pednekar. The movie is based on soul stirring true incidents in Bihar’s Muzaffarpur. Sadly, the overall execution of the film was too bad and it failed to impress the audience.
Now the litmus test, which movie impressed the audience on Netflix India?
Short and straight answer – None.
Both the films are very very low when it comes to viewing numbers and it is quite evident. Since none of the films were a good watch, the audience downright rejected them and the numbers are just too dismal.
Regardless, Animal also fell quite drastically as the views in merely the third week are super low. For a film of Animal’s magnitude, it should have maintained a dignified number but alas.
Now that we have Dunki on Netflix, the charts next week are going to be interesting. Let’s see what numbers drop in. We at Binged will keep you posted.
