The Malayalam film industry is all about to present two flicks which will be released on the last and final day of this August. The movies are named to be ‘Bharatanatyam’ and ‘Manorajyam’ respectively. Both of them are constructed with a very limited budget with a chance to focus on the value of their performance.
‘Bharatanatyam’ (Eng. Dance comprising of Emotion, Music, and Rhythm) is written and directed by Krishnadas Murali from the production of Thomas Thiruvalla Films and Saiju Kurup Entertainments. The movie compels to have a comedy-drama genre with the assumption to have considerable effort for character sketches for each one present in the frame.
Almost all persons prevalent in the technical team are debutants with time of experience like Cinematography by Bablu Aju, Editing by Shafeeque V B, Music, and Background Score by Samuel Aby, Art direction by Babu Pillai, etc. which can be a new-wave to the industry.
The flick has an ensemble cast of actors Sai Kumar, Saiju Kurup, Kalaranjini, Abhiram Radhakrishnan, Sreeja Ravi, Divya M Nair, Sruthy Suresh, Nandu Poduval, Manikandan Pattambi, Swathi Das Prabhu, Sohan Seenulal, Salim Hassan and Krishnadas Murali respectively. The effort will be able to witness the performances of powerhouse talents like Sai Kumar and Saiju Kurup who are well known for their versatility in roles.
‘Manorajyam’ (Eng. Imaginary edifice) is written and directed by Rasheed Parakkal as well as produced by Anasmon C K, Resmi Jayakumar, Ayoob Talashery Parambil under the banner of Indie Genius Films and Mark US Conventions. The genre of this movie will be romantic comedy-drama in nature and feature actors like Govind Padmasoorya, Ranjitha Menon, Navas Vallikunnu and Gokulan respectively.
Like the former, all the members of the technical crew are debutants and the movie has been the official selection for the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne for this year.
The overall potential in both movies to bring a change in box-office aspect is expected to be in a range from marginal to above-average but a significant word of mouth can make something better for both of them. However, its acceptance in OTT would be even better.
