The teaser of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 came bundled with KGF Chapter 2. We all know that KGF Chapter 2 is currently the only thing going on in Indian cinema and that too in North India. It was a masterstroke by T-Series to bundle the teaser of a film as popular as Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 with KGF.
Regardless, Bhool Bhulaiyaa was released about 15 years back in 2007. Having Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan, the film was exceptionally brilliant and popular mainly due to Akshay’s comedy and Vidya’s terrifying performance. It was one of those films in which an actor’s performance reined terror instead of a VFX generated ghost.
But, the second part is on loose and will hit the theatres on 20th May. It has Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani in the lead roles. The teaser is dominated by the haunting yet exceptionally great singing by Shreya Ghoshal. Interestingly, it is the same Ami Je Tomar/Mere Dholna song that is mega-popular till date.
Even the short glimpse of Kartik Aaryan in the black robe is introduced by the same famous soundtrack. We will even get to see the caricaturish character of Chhote Pandit by Rajpal Yadav.
However, we got a glimpse of a CGI ghost which was by far from the actual concept of Bhool Bhulaiyaa. Thus the best we can do is to wait for a great album and an even great film. Otherwise, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 may successfully kill the legacy of its first part with a supernatural ghost.
