Netflix is now developing a series Based on the life of American president John F. Kennedy, popularly known as JFK.
The miniseries will be directly based on the book ‘JFK: Coming Of Age In The American Century, 1917-1956’ by Fredrik Logevall. Eric Roth, the co-writer of the upcoming Scoresese film ‘Killers Of The Flower Moon’ is roped in for writing the screenplay. Eric Roth won his Academy Award for Forrest Gump in 1995, he was nominated for six more Oscars after that. With such a decorated career and filmography, there is no doubt that he will once more create something astounding with this project. JFK’s life is quite cinematic too, with his rise to power, reign as one of the finest presidents of the country, affairs, and at last, assassination. The two part book will probably be adapted in a singular season of the show.
Roth will also be serving as the executive producers for the show. Peter Chernin and Jenno Topping will also be executive producers for it. But a showrunner is yet to be found.
The cast and other details have not yet been revealed. The series is in a very early stage and it might take one or two years to complete. It is being reported that Netflix wants the show to be some kind of American version of ‘The Crown‘.
