In what could be considered a really interesting development, the makers of Thalapthy Vijay‘s Beast are planning on locking 14 April as the release date for the heavy duty action drama. An official communication to this effect is expected to be made shortly.
If Beast actually locks 14 April as its release date, then it would mean that the film will be directly locking horns with Yash‘s KGF 2 which is also announced for theatrical release on the 14th of April. The catch here is that the makers of KGF 2 have already announced that the film will be releasing in theatres across the globe on the 14th of April. But the makers of Beast are yet to convey their final decision on the same.
While Beast might not be as strong as KGF 2 in the North Indian circuit as far as box office projections are concerned, the Vijay starrer are super strong down south. The film is expected to register earth-shattering openings in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. But as things stand, KGF will have the natural advantage in every other circuit except for Tamil Nadu and Kerala, given the sensational success of KGF.
Now, the big question is, will Beast actually locks horns with KGF 2 by arriving in theatres on the same day as the Yash starrer – 14 April. If so, then the box office clash between these two South Indian powerhouses is going to be a mighty interesting one to watch.
Notably, Rajamouli, Ram Charan, and Jr NTR’s RRR is also expected to release in theatres this April, as we had reported earlier. Well, it appears to be that April is going to be a jam-packed month for film lovers.
