Good news for fans of Andrew Scott. The actor will now be seen in the next movie of the Knives Out franchise. It was announced very recently that there will be a third film in the series and the quirky, smart detective Benoit Blanc will be returning with a new mystery. Actors Josh O’Connor and Cailee Spaeny were announced to be part of the movie. And there were rumours that even Tom Hardy and Lindsay Lohan will be playing major roles. Now, with the news of Scott joining the movie, Knives Out 3 already looks like a blockbuster.
The movie has been titled ‘Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery’. It will be directed by Rian Johnson himself, who created the series and directed the previous two films. The title seems interesting and the cast additions make it spicier than ever.
Andrew Scott recently starred in the Netflix miniseries ‘Ripley’ and gathered huge applause for his performance. Scott is known for spectacular performances in ‘Sherlock’ as Moriarty or in ‘Fleabag’ as the ‘Hot priest’. He also recently starred in a critically acclaimed film ‘All Of Us Strangers’. Fans will love his return to mystery thrillers after so long.
The Knives Out movies are known for a typical melangé of extravagance and simplicity, in the plot as well as in the execution. The cast lists are, however, star-studded. The first movie in the franchise came out in 2019 and starred Ana De Armas, Chris Evans, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Jamie Lee Curtis and of course Daniel Craig as Benoit Blanc.
