The blockbuster sequel of the magnum opus ‘K.G.F’ will not be coming to theatres this 16th July, 2021. Yes you read that right, the makers have decided to postpone the release of Yash starrer ‘K.G.F. Chapter 2’ for now.
As per the official announcement, we will be able to “Witness the MAGNUM OPUS come to life soon.
‘K.G.F. Chapter 2’ will now release when the government allows the theatres to reopen and most probably with full capacity. New release date has not been revealed as of now and the makers are likely to announce it soon.
The decision might disappoint the fans who have been eagerly waiting for the sequel to the 2018 commercial blockbuster. But given the film’s grandeur, it would be an injustice to release the film now when the theatre situation around the country is not that good. Moreover, at a time when country is going through the pandemic it is the right thing to do.
It seems like a smart decision on the part of makers to delay the release for now and wait for normalcy to return. This also goes to show the trust of the producers not just in the film but also it’s fans. But at the same time it is a little disappointing as well, as the audience will have to wait much longer now and that too for an unknown period of time.
‘KGF Chapter 2’ has been written and directed by Prashanth Neel and produced by Vijay Kiragandur via his Hombale Films. The film stars Yash, Sanjay Dutt, Srinidhi Shetty, Raveena Tandon and Prakash Raj in prominent roles. It release in Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam.
