The release date for Samantha’s new thriller ‘Yashoda‘ is now out. It will hit the theatres on the 11th of November this year. ‘Yashoda’ will be released in multiple languages, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada. The movie is originally shot in Tamil and Telugu simultaneously. Wonderful actors like Varalakshmi Sarathkumar, Unni Mukundan, Sampatha Raj, Murli Sharma, Rao Ramesh will be joining the cast along with Samantha.
The teaser of the movie was released a month ago where Samantha was seen to be playing a pregnant woman in situations that she should not be in according to her doctor. She was seen running from wild animals, fighting, breaking glass windows, having panic attacks and everything that is risky for a pregnant woman. The teaser makes it seem like an espionage thriller but there are rumours of it being a science fiction movie too. The makers have confirmed that ‘Yashoda’ will be made in the backdrop of true crime incidents.
The movie is directed by Hareesh Narayan and K Hari Shankar. Hareesh has directed movies like ‘Ambuli’, ‘Silk’, ‘Orr Eravuu’ previously and Hari Shankar has accompanied him in most of his films like Ambuli as a co-director.
The music of the film is given by famous composer Mani Sharma. Cinematography and editing is handled by M. Sukumar and Marthand K. Venkatesh respectively.
Yashoda has every element that makes it the next potential hit of the year. Samantha has been choosing scripts with great content lately and after ‘The Family Man 2’ she is immensely popular in North India too.
