Andy Muschietti has been announced as the director for an upcoming Batman film titled “The Brave and the Bold.” The project is part of DC Studios’ new slate of titles, led by James Gunn and Peter Safran. Muschietti, known for his recent work on “The Flash,” will bring to life the comic series authored by Grant Morrison, which explores a Bat family concept. In this world, Bruce Wayne’s biological son Damian serves as Robin alongside his father Batman.
Gunn and Safran praised Muschietti, referring to him as a visionary director and a massive DC fan. They expressed their admiration for “The Flash,” describing it as a magnificent film with humor, emotion, and thrills.
This film will mark the first live-action appearance of Robin since Chris O’Donnell’s portrayal in the 1997 film “Batman and Robin.” The project will exist separately from Robert Pattinson’s “The Batman” movies, allowing for unique storytelling opportunities and character exploration.
Gunn and Safran’s slate, titled “Gods and Monsters,” includes a Superman feature titled “Superman: Legacy,” penned by Gunn himself. Other projects in the lineup include a Wonder Woman prequel series and a Green Lantern mystery series.
Let’s see how fans shower love on The Flash and only then we can guess what possible fate comes.
