Nitesh Tiwari’s hotly anticipated movie ‘Ramayana’ has only been getting bigger by the day. On the heels of the buzzy cast reveals for the movie, comes the biggest news of all. Producer Namit Malhotra and director Nitesh Tiwari have managed to do the impossible – they’ve grabbed stellar multiple Oscar-winning music composer Hans Zimmer to compose the background music for Ramayana.
It just doesn’t get bigger than this!
Hans Zimmer will work in tandem with our own Oscar-winning composer A. R. Rahman, who’s working on the songs of Ramayana. Together, the duo will cast their unique musical spells on the audiences as they weave magic on screen with their music.
The signing of Hans Zimmer is a feather in the cap for Ramayana, superbly complementing the terrific cast. As for the cast of Ramayana, Nitesh Tiwari has signed on in-form actor Ranbir Kapoor for the meaty role of Lord Rama in his Ramayana. Nitesh Tiwari has also zoomed in on Sai Pallavi as Sita Mata, Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman and Kannada star Yash as Raavana. The delectable cast is a huge plus for Ramayana.
Interestingly, each of these stalwarts are fresh from humongous hits of their own – Ranbir Kapoor is basking in the success of Animal; Sunny Deol and Yash have the blockbusters Gadar 2 and KGF Chapter 2 under their belts; and Sai Pallavi has the hits Gargi and Shyam Singha Roy in her kitty.
Hollywood film lovers will know Hans Zimmer from his mesmerising musical compositions for English films. He has won the Oscar Award for Best Original Music twice – for Lion King in 1994 and Dune in 2021. He is the preferred music composer for filmmakers such as Christopher Nolan (The Dark Knight Trilogy, Dunkirk, Inception, Interstellar), Disney (The Lion King, The Pirates Of The Caribbean movies), Ridley Scott (Gladiator, Hannibal) Denis Villeneuve (Dune, Blade Runner 2049), among scores of other movies.
