Prime Video usually brings shows that appeal to the mass. Another one is just in the queue called Poacher. Amazon Prime Video has a new show called “Poacher,” created by Richie Mehta, who also made “Delhi Crime.” This show is about a big problem: people illegally hunting animals for their valuable parts, like ivory.
It’s a big deal because it talks about a problem that happens everywhere, not just in India where the show is set.
“Poacher” tells a story that connects people from different countries who are involved in stopping wildlife crime. Even though the story starts in India, it shows how this problem affects the whole world.
During the premiere of the first two episodes in the U.K., the creators said they want “Poacher” to be more than just a show—it should become a big series that people all over the world can watch and talk about. Alia Bhatt is very passionate about it and she has some big plans for the same.
Richie Mehta, the creator, believes that because wildlife crime happens in many places, the show can connect with audiences worldwide. But will that be enough?
No. Prime Video India will have to promote the series aggressively for that to happen. They were successful with Farzi in this. But it was easier in Farzi as it is a masala show but with Poacher, it needs to be a little more innovative.
“Poacher” will be available on Amazon Prime Video starting February 23. With its exciting story and important message about protecting animals, it’s likely to be a show that many people will want to watch and learn from.
