The OTT version of Hindi Bigg Boss turnout out to be a smashing success as it had garnered pretty good viewership. Now, the ground is being prepared for the OTT version of Telugu Bigg Boss. It is heard that the showrunners have already initiated the process of finalizing the contestants and the special set of tasks exclusively designed for the OTT version.
In all likelihood, Telugu Bigg Boss’s OTT version will commence by the end of February 2022. There will be a total of 15 contestants in the OTT version and 5 of them, who make it to the finale race will be roped in for the TV version of Bigg Boss which will commence in the latter half of the year. This could well be the first reality show in the Telugu OTT space.
Disney+ Hotstar, the digital streaming partner for Telugu Bigg Boss 5 is expected to stream the OTT version as well. An official announcement on the same is expected to be made soon.
Incidentally, there have been reports claiming that Telugu-only OTT platform, Aha Video is also contemplating the idea of launching a reality show of its own. If this actually materializes, the Telugu OTT audience could well be served two reality shows.
