BIKRAM: YOGI, GURU, PREDATOR Trailer Talk - Netflix docudrama Bikram: Yogi, Guru, Predator Netflix has just released the official trailer of its new docudrama, Bikram: Yogi, Guru, Predator, and it is, to describe it in one word, explosive!

The documentary-style narrative traces the rise and fall of Bikram Choudhury, the controversial Yoga Guru, who elevated Yoga to fashionable status by bringing it into the realm of the rich and famous of the US of A. And in doing so, the man himself rose from being an unknown Indian immigrant to achieving cult status among his followers. He is the one behind the brands, Bikram Yoga and Hot Yoga.

Bikram: Yogi, Guru, Predator—the title itself gives ample hint to what the content of the documentary is likely to be. The trailer lays bare the premise – it is a no-holds-barred stripping off of the shroud of sanctimony, to reveal the salacious truth about the years of rape and assault perpetrated by the Yoga Guru on innumerable of his women followers.

The documentary follows in the footsteps of last year’s Netflix hit, Wild Wild Country, a docudrama that had traced the rise and fall of another Indian Guru with cult status, Bhagwan Rajneesh.

From the trailer of Bikram: Yogi, Guru, Predator, we can glean this- all the inside secrets of Bikram Choudhury are about to be busted, and spectacularly at that. Scores of women have given detailed interviews, revealing the truth of the guru, one even going to the extent of calling him ‘megalomaniac’ and ‘diabolical’.

The documentary is directed by Eva Orner, Academy Award-winning Australian filmmaker, specialising in creating hard-hitting documentaries.

Bikram: Yogi, Guru, Predator streams on Netflix on November 20. Check out the explosive trailer below –
