Bill Skarsgard Shines As The Crow

It had been years since makers had been trying to make a recreation of the original movie The Crow (1994). Finally after multiple delays, the film was launched on 30th August worldwide. Although the audience found the movie to be decent and not very spectacular, it is the lead actor Bill Skarsgard who steals the show with his portrayal of The Crow.

The movie does not deviate much from the original movie and the comic series from which they both were adapted. Ko The movie has a decent plot based mainly on the act of revenge and the supernatural elements add a bit of extra flavours to it. Many people even commented that there was no need of making another movie that is the remake of the original as the two sequels if the original film also act as the remake for it. People though appreciated the director Rupert Sanders’ new angle to portray the cult classic series, still the remake is far away from the pedestal of cinematic genius. Many even commented that Rupert has made the movie just for the sake of making. He doesn’t have a perception and has no idea for whom the movie has been made, whether for the Gen Z or for the people who grew up between the original series and film.

The visuals were praised by the audience and the graphics looked quite captivating. The scenes that contain blood and gore have been choreographed quite nicely. The characters look graphically sound. One enjoys to watch the visuals of the movie. As the plot is derived from the original movie, one can’t say much about it. Though it being too similar to the original gives it a disadvantage.
The best part of the movie though is Bill Skarsgard playing the role of The Crow. The character has been played beautifully by Bill and one see a completely new avatar of The Crow. The makers portrayed him in such a way that comes very close to the actual comic series. The costume and the makeup too reflects the character’s adaptation from the comics. Bill also shines as Eric in the movie. Especially his chemistry with FKA Twigs is being praised a lot by many people.

Though the movie could not lay a significant impact on the silver screen even after making us wait for a decade and half, the character of The Crow Stoll impresses us by the spectacular performance of Bill and Rupert’s portrayal of his character.
