Roadside’s latest trailer of Boy Kills World, starring Bill Skarsgard, serves as a unique blend of madness and bloody carnage. Co-produced by Sam Raimi, the upcoming revenge flick is filled with plenty of action, blood, and uniquely deranged characters.
Boy Kills World revolves around ‘Boy’, played by Skarsgard, who vows vengeance after Hilda Van Der Koy (Famke Janssen) brutally murders his family in front of his eyes, leaving him deaf, voiceless, and orphaned. Empowered by his inner voice, which he chose from his favourite childhood video game, the protagonist starts training in martial arts with a shaman (Yayan Ruhian). After growing up, he chooses the path of vengeance brimmed with limitless bloodshed and carnage.
In addition to Bill Skarsgard, the upcoming Sam Raimi project stars Jessica Rothe, Yayan Ruhian, Isaiah Mustafa, Andrew Koji, Michelle Dockrey, Brett Gelman, Sharlto Copley, and Famke Jenssen.
The film premiered at the 48th Toronto International Film Festival, where it received mostly positive reviews. It has a ‘fresh’ critic score of 71% on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 14 reviews so far. Now, it will arrive in theatres worldwide on April 26, 2024.
