The Christmas mystery series ‘Black Doves’ will be returning with a second season soon after the first one premieres. Netflix has announced that the second season of the show is in the works right now.
‘Black Doves’ has six episodes and is marketed as a suspenseful thriller series with great plot. The show is written and created by Joe Barton who is known for projects like ‘The Lazarus Project’. Keira Knightley stars in the lead role alongside Ben Whishaw. There are other actors like Andrew Buchan, Omari Douglas, Andrew Koji, Kathryn Hunter, Sam Troughton, Ella Lily Hyland, Adam Silver in important roles. Many of these actors will return for the second season along with the leading stars.
The show tells the story of Helen Webb, played by Keira Knightley, who is a protective mother and obedient wife on the outside but is a spy in secret. She has been passing her politician husband’s secrets to her organisation for a long time without her family having any clue. When her secret lover is assassinated suddenly, the organisation sends an enigmatic but lost old friend of Helen to save her from being killed. The two set out on an epic adventure during Christmas.
‘Black Doves’ will premiere on Netflix later this year. It is wonderful that the date has not been revealed yet and now another season is announced.
