Black Panther 2 Starts Production: What To Expect From The MCU Sequel?

Black Panther, a Marvel movie about a superhero that went on to become historical in so many ways. The movie was responsible for introducing T’Challa aka Black Panther to the world as well as becoming an icon for including a completely black cast. Fans have been excited ever since it was announced that the sequel would be out soon. Black Panther 2 without a doubt is one of the much-awaited movies from Marvel. The reasons for Black Panther 2 being a fan favourite are many, but most importantly it is to see how Marvel carries on the legacy of Chadwick Boseman in Black Panther 2.

The world had a major shock last year, as the filming world and Marvel lost its hero and fan’s very own Black Panther Chadwick Boseman. It was unbelievable and as usual, fans couldn’t imagine anyone else as the next T’Challa. This is where Marvel’s head Kevin Feige announced that they won’t be recasting T’Challa for the upcoming movies. As the sequel’s name was revealed as “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” fans understood that the next movie will mostly be on Wakanda and its people.

Kevin Feige in his latest interview revealed to the fans that finally the production of the movie has begun. Though no spoiler was given out for the movie, Feige didn’t forget to mention how hard it has been for the team to move on without Chadwick Boseman. Though the decision of him not being recast made fans happy, fans are still wondering as to who will take the mantle of Black Panther ahead now.

As mentioned, the upcoming movie will seemingly explore the world of Wakanda and its people and as it has already been rumoured, there might be an inclusion of a whole new city too. Rumour has it that Namor, the Submariner is supposed to enter the sequel, and with him will be the entry of the city of Atlantis in the MCU. It is still not confirmed though, but expectations are high as it was announced Narcos: Mexico star Tenoch Huerta is being cast in an undisclosed villainous role. Along with him, there were rumours that actresses were being looked at for the roles “Zyanya” and “Cadmael”. All of these characters are linked to Namor.

Fans are expecting that the movie will bring the cold-war-like situation that Wakanda and Atlantis have amongst them and with the title of the movie, it definitely seems like a possibility. Now, coming back to the movie starting production Kevin Feige has assured fans that the movie will be made to honor Chadwick Boseman and will take forward his legacy. For many, he wasn’t just an actor but an actual superhero and an idol as he represented many with his identity.

It would be exciting to see what Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has in store for its fans but it will definitely be something that fans will end up loving. The movie is slated to release next year in July and as for now, there has been no delay announced. With production kicking off now, it pretty much looks like the movie will arrive on time.
