‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ Wraps Filming in Puerto Rico

A few months back, we had given our readers an important update about the temporary halt in the production of Marvel Studios’ eagerly anticipated Black Panther sequel ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ owing to Letitia Wright’s previous stunt rig injury. Thereafter, filming for ‘Black Panther 2’ resumed around mid-January earlier this year.

In an exciting update, it is now being reported (via a fan-run Twitter handle Black Panther: Wakanda Forever News) that filming for the ‘Black Panther’ sequel has finally been wrapped up in Puerto Rico.

In ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’, Letitia Wright is set to reprise her role as T’Challa’s (Late Chadwick Boseman) younger sister and Wakanda’s technology wizard. After Chadwick Boseman’s unfortunate demise, Letitia Wright’s character Shuri was apparently given a meatier role in the ‘Black Panther’ sequel compared to the parent film. Besides Letitia Wright, another actor Winston Duke, who played M’Baku in the parent film, will also have a bigger part to play in the sequel.

‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ is being helmed by the first film’s director Ryan Coogler and also features Martin Freeman, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Angela Bassett, and Dominique Thorne (as Riri Williams aka Ironheart) in pivotal roles.

Initially slated for a July 2022 theatrical release, ‘Black Panther 2’ was postponed and is now scheduled to release on 11th November 2022. And with the recent filming wrap update and if things go as planned, there should be no further changes in the film’s latest release date.
