You must have seen examples of feature films getting adapted from documentaries. But there are a few examples of the other way around. Netflix India is doing exactly that by bringing us a documentary film after a full-length feature film has already been made on it.
Also, it is no small film but a movie led by Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Farhan Akhtar. We are talking about the 2019 film The Sky Is Pink. The film told the story of a couple whose daughter suffers from severe ailments. So much so that she passed away at a very young age. The girl in her short life became a motivational speaker and inspired countless people through her speeches.
If you think that the heart-melting film was only a film then you are wrong. Because it is indeed the story of a girl called Aisha Chaudhary.
She suffered from a terminal illness and a film was made on her life where Zaira Wasim played her character.
Now Netflix India is bringing a full-length documentary film on the life of Aisha Chaudhary. It is called Black Sunshine Baby and is coming on Netflix India on the 24th of January.
It is indeed great to see Netflix India experimenting with more documentaries and not just crime ones. We hope that this documentary film is well made and earns love.
