The It Ends With Us controversy just got messier. Crisis mitigation expert Jed Wallace has now sued Blake Lively for defamation, adding another chapter to the ongoing legal battle.
Wallace, owner of Street Relations, was accused of running a “digital army” against Lively as part of Justin Baldoni’s alleged smear campaign. But in his lawsuit, filed in Texas federal court, he claims he had nothing to do with it and has suffered millions in reputational damage.
This is the fifth lawsuit linked to the Baldoni-Lively feud. Baldoni’s publicists, Jen Abel and Melissa Nathan, also filed defamation suits, saying they became “objects of public scorn” due to the accusations.
Lively’s legal team, however, is calling it pure retaliation.
“Another day, another state, another nine-figure lawsuit trying to sue Ms. Lively into oblivion for speaking out,” they stated.
The case against Wallace is tied to an August text exchange where Nathan reportedly bragged, “We are crushing it on Reddit,” crediting Wallace for the effort. Lively’s lawyers claim he was hired to spread anti-Lively narratives online, but Wallace wants the court to clear his name.
His lawsuit demands a declaratory judgment and at least $6 million in damages.
With Netflix banking big on It Ends With Us and this legal war showing no signs of cooling down, it looks like this fight is far from over.
