Telugu film – Jatiratnalu starring Naveen Polishetty, Priyadarshi, and Rahul Ramakrishna has released today across the globe. It is a comedy caper of three good-for-nothing guys who go to jail for a serious crime. The movie has got a good reception at the box office on an opening day.
On the other side, the Leading OTT platform, Amazon Prime Video bagged the post-theatrical digital rights of the movie. Amazon also holds the OTT rights of Naveen’s debut film, Agent Sai Sreenivas Athreya which is also a big hit on the digital platform. The movie directed by KV Anudeep has Mahanati fame Nag Ashwin turning into a producer. The director has made his debut with a flop film, Pittagoda (2016) but made up with this film.
Naveen is familiar to the Hindi audience as he acted in the blockbuster Bollywood film, Chhichhore. But then, Jatiiratnalu is a film backed by some good writing. The hilarious punches are the biggest positive for the movie. Probably, it can not be felt by other language audiences when watched with subtitles. But the film will make a good watch for the Telugu audience.
