Saswata Chatterjee had shocked fans with the announcement that he will be playing the role of Bhanu Bandyopadhyay in an upcoming movie. The name of the movie is ‘Jomaloye Jibonto Bhanu’. Earlier it was being guessed that the movie will be a biopic of Bhanu Bandyopadhyay, but the makers have now confirmed that it will serve as a sequel to Bhanu’s superhit movie ‘Jomaloye Jibonto Manush’. Now the first looks of the movie are out and it has been announced that the movie will be released this winter.
Saswata Chatterjee is known for acting in various Hindi films like ‘Jagga Jasoos’, ‘Dil Bechara’, ‘Tooth Pari’ and many others. But what he is most famous for is his iconic role as the serial killer Bob Biswas in ‘Kahaani’.
Fans are excited to see him again in one more ambitious project. The first look has a photo of Saswata in dhoti punjabi where he looks like a spitting image of Bhanu Bandyopadhyay. The movie is directed by Sayantan Ghoshal. And it is all praise for Somnath Kundu, the make-up artist of the film who has managed to make Saswata look exactly like the actor. The music for the film is composed by Raja Narayan Deb. Jomaloye Jibonto Manush will be releasing this fall. The release dates for the film have not been revealed yet.
Saswata Chatterjee is enjoying the huge success of his Zee5 original series Abar Proloy. This serves as a sequel to the feature film ‘Proloy’. Saswata was also recently seen in ‘Achena Uttam’, a biopic of the Bengali matinee Idol Uttam Kumar.
