“Bodies bodies bodies,” the American slasher film’s trailer is finally out on A24. The plot is based on an affluent group of ages 20, who’ll plan a hurricane party at a deserted family mansion, but a party game takes this fun and frolic party to a horrifying gory, with people backstabbing and resulting in a true murder at the end.
The trailer for the film arrived on April 26— starring Amandla Stenberg, Maria Bakalova, Pete Davidson, Myha’la Herrold, Rachel Sennott, Lee Pace, and Chase Sui Wonders. The trailer follows a group of friends inside a mansion, decides to play “Bodies bodies bodies,” a murder in the dark-style game. But as the game proceeds, we see tension building up as one says, “Guys, I get so stressed out every time we play this,” and “Someone always ends up crying.”
According to the rules of the game, If you draw the piece of paper that has the “X” on it, then you’re the murderer. Everyone else just has to avoid being killed. Familiar game with lethal stakes, sounds simple right? But things ain’t that simple is this complicated maze of twists and turns when someone from this group actually ends up getting killed.
As this deadly spooky game proceeds, everyone gets curious to find the real killer amongst themselves, which also results in the crumbling of their friendships.
A24’s Gen Z satirical horror flick definitely will stir a lot of questions and guesses as to who is the real murderer? Directed by Halina Reijn, the movie is slated to hit the theaters on August 5.
