Dharma Productions earlier today announced its latest film ‘Screw Dheela’ starring Tiger Shroff and netizens did not miss a moment to slam the film and Tiger Shroff’s casting for the role. To be honest, they aren’t wrong!
Touted to be an action entertainer directed by Shashank Khaitan, ‘Screw Dheela’ film announcement came with a three minute long clip of Tiger Shroff initially getting hit by a man while he insists being a regular PT teacher. But then he hears a woman’s voice calling someone named Johnny for help and that’s when he starts acting weird. In the next few moments he is seen flipping, jumping, rolling, hitting and what not that too with knife stabbed in his shoulder for most of it.
All of it seems like watching Tiger Shroff in almost all his previous films such as ‘Baaghi’, ‘Heropanti’, ‘War’ and more. Same old hand and fist action scenes and kicking sequences mixed with martial arts. Not that he isn’t good at it but why would the audience watch him do the same thing again and again.
Tiger Shroff is best known for two things, dance and action, and that’s what he has been offering and impressing the viewers with until now. But the patience is wearing out and this became quite conspicuous today with their reaction on Screw Dheela’s announcement video.
While action and thrill is something the audience is loving these days, nothing without a solid storyline works. A no brainer mass masala entertainer is fine once in a while but doing so repeatedly gets a bit annoying even for the hard core fans.
From calling it a Heropanti or Baaghi sequel, slamming for recycling the same old concept of a guy rescuing a girl to calling it outright boring and flop, netizens bashed ‘Screw Dheela’, it’s maker Karan Johar and his Dharma Productions and Tiger Shroff himself for the film.
