Brad Pitt May Not Lead Quentin Tarantino’s The Movie Critic

Brad Pitt has found his place in Quentin Tarantino’s final film, The Movie Critic. Despite being the first actor to join the film, the OUATIH fame may not get the leading role. It means that Pitt may get a supporting role in the upcoming Tarantino directional.

The reason behind Brad Pitt not getting a lead role in The Movie Critic is Quentin Tarantino’s interview with Deadline, which took place in May last year. In that interview, Tarantino talked about what he wanted in his lead actor for this final feature project:

“It’s going to be somebody in the 35-year-old ballpark. It’ll definitely be a new leading man for me.”

Brad Pitt is now 60 years old. He does not look like a guy in his late thirties anymore. However, we cannot ignore the possibility of Tarantino making some changes in his script for The Movie Critic, a scenario that could provide Pitt with more screen time than originally planned. But the film will be based on a real writer and movie critic from the ‘70s who met his demise in his late thirties. It means that Pitt leading the film could pave the way for historical inaccuracies. This scenario could create some controversy for Tarantino and his team.

Besides, Pitt does not need a leading role to bag an Academy Award. He had the second-in-command role in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019). His performance as Cliff Booth met with critical acclaim, helping him to earn the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor.

It will be interesting to see what kind of role Brad Pitt gets in Quentin Tarantino’s The Movie Critic. The helmer’s final film may hit the theatres worldwide in 2025. Stay tuned for more updates.
