Alright, here we go again. After making waves with Bramayugam, Night Shift Studios is back with another horror-thriller. This time, the spotlight is on Pranav Mohanlal, and the film is officially titled Dies Irae, Latin for “The Day of Wrath.”
Directed by Rahul Sadasivan, who previously helmed Bramayugam, the film promises something fresh for the genre. While plot details are still under wraps, Sadasivan hints at a shift in tone and emotion, saying this one’s built for a new generation.
The film recently wrapped shooting and is now deep in post-production. And if you’re wondering whether it’ll follow the same eerie vibe as Bramayugam, the answer is, yes and no. It stays rooted in horror but flips the emotional lens entirely.
What’s interesting is that Night Shift is sticking to its core team. The same creative heads that made Bramayugam a box office success are steering this ship too. The goal? Elevate Indian horror cinema, again.
As producer Chakravarthy Ramachandra puts it, Dies Irae is the next step in proving just how far the genre can go. And with Pranav Mohanlal front and center, expectations are high.
The film is eyeing a worldwide theatrical release later this year.
