Bramayugam Gets Positive Response On OTT

The buzzing Mammootty starrer Bramayugam is continuing its stellar run post its theatrical debut, now in the OTT realm. The film’s official release on SonyLIV across various languages such as Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi has stirred up further excitement amongst fans. Viewers now have the option of engrossing themselves in this period horror thriller from the comfort of their homes.

Helmed by Rahul Sadasivan and penned by T D Ramakrishnan, the story of Bramayugam dives into folklore and stories strongly etched into the fabric of Kerala. The movie also offers a subtle yet significant exploration of power dynamics and interpersonal relationships. Set against the eerie backdrop of a traditional brahmin household, haunted by unspeakable evil. The black and white cinematographic vision is stunning to experience as well. For a movie with only 3 main characters to do this well on both box office and OTT fronts, the crew must be lauded for their efforts. Mammootty plays Kodumon Potti, and Arjun Ashokan and Siddharth Bharathan are the other two artists involved.

The film did well in the box office, however it can be debated that its time of release held it back from further glory, as it was released close to Premalu and Manjummel Boys. However OTTians have nothing but praise for this beautifully executed film, with X (previously Twitter) seeing a flurry of tweets from fans who are awe struck by the performances of the actors.
