Breaking: Ajith Kumar’s Valimai Postponed

In a disappointing turn of events, Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar‘s Valimai, which was initially announced for worldwide theatrical release on the 13th of January has been postponed indefinitely. The makers of Valimai have unveiled a new statement, through which they confirm that the film will not be released as per the initial plan.

“Audiences and fans have been the source of our felicity. Given the steep rise in Covid infections across the globe, we have decided to postpone the release of our film Valimai until the situation normalises,” the statement read.

This comes days after the Tamil Nadu government imposed 50% seating capacity regulations at cinema halls across the state. The government had also announced that the state will observe a complete lockdown every Sunday till further notice. With so many hurdles, Valimai’s release has been postponed.

Not so long ago, there were reports claiming that the makers of Valimai are indeed looking to take on the Covid 3rd wave regulations and release the film as per plan. But that isn’t happening now as the release plan has been differed. The new release date will be announced once normalcy is restored.
