Breathe Into The Shadows S2: Prime Video India Goofs Up….Again!

Prime Video India has just dropped a new season of its flagship show, ‘Breathe: Into The Shadows’. It is the second season of the current story, starring Abhishek Bachchan as the protagonist/antagonist, and the third installment overall, after the initial ‘Breathe’, starring R Madhavan in the lead. The ‘Breathe: Into The Shadows’ franchise is one of the most watched show on Prime Video India, and is loved by viewers across demographics.

That is the reason why Prime Video’s latest goof-up rankles even more. The streaming platform has just released ‘Breathe: Into The Shadows Season 2’. But only in the Hindi language…no other Indian languages – not Tamil or Telugu dubbed versions, let alone Kannada or Malayalam.

‘Breathe: Into The Shadows’ Season 1 is available in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu versions. But the new season is lacking in keeping the needs of Prime Video’s other Indian language speakers.

Prime Video India’s latest gaffe is in keeping with its laxness in giving Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada dubbed versions of its other popular shows, ‘The Family Man,’ ‘Mirzapur’, ‘Panchayat’ among others.

One wonders why Prime Video India keeps repeating the same old mistakes again and again, despite receiving brickbats each time it does this. What is the point of releasing Tamil and Telugu dubbed versions of shows months after the original release of the show – when all the suspense is out in the open on social media?

Dear Prime Video, learning from past mistakes is the best way to move forward, and beat the competition – especially in a cluttered streaming market like India. No?
