Martin Scorsese’s ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’ has been declared one of the best films of 2023 by many publications and media houses. The epic Western drama based on the story of Osage Murders has found its place deep inside the hearts of many critics. However, there is one aspect of the film that has become quite controversial. Yup, we are talking about Brendan Fraser’s highly divisive performance in the latest Scorsese directional!
Fraser plays W. S. Hamilton, the attorney of William King Hale (De Niro), in the film. He defends his client against the allegations of being involved in a dangerous plot to kill his nephew Ernest Burkhart’s wife, Mollie Burkhart, along with her entire Osage Indian family, to get his hands on their highly profitable mineral rights.
X (Twitter) has been set ablaze by people who have watched ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’. Some have actually liked Fraser’s performance. While the remaining ones are leaving no stone unturned to besmirch the Oscar-winning actor’s image and his acting abilities. This scenario is mind-boggling, considering the fact that he appears during the latter stages of the film and hardly gets a screen time of less than 10 minutes.
A viewer on X (Twitter) declared Brendan Fraser’s performance in the latest Scorsese project as “one of the worst acting performances”.
However, not all comments were negative. Some people have strongly defended Fraser on X. Check it out!
